The Macintosh was the first mass-produced computer to use what engineers call a graphical user interface, or GUI. This means that every item stored in the boot device or any other disk on the system can be seen somewhere as a little picture, or icon.
Windows is currently the most popular operating system in use, and is installed on most new computers. Some people like Windows because it is easy to use and to learn. It also works very well on many different parts of computer hardware.

I really feel that Apple DESERVES the award for their efforts, but I have a Mac (G4), several Windows boxes, and a Linux box. I like them all, but overall, I find Windows the most convenient both to work under and to develop for.

without windows we wouldnt of had such good gaming, plus when it crashes you can close programs rather than whole thing locking up

I know I started this, but I still want to put my vote in for Windows. It seems more reliable, simple to use, much more compatible, and is the king when it comes to browsing the web (when using Firefox, that is!)

I've used pc's for years and macs quite a bit. I have 2 PCs & 1 Mac at work and the Mac wins!!
I still do most of the work on pc as thats the type of work i do, but the Mac has all the software i need (including Firefox), it rarely crashes, its much more intuitive and the comment about not having right click, when was the last time you used a Mac? The Apple Mighty Mouse has left, right click, a scroll ball which is also a click and another button on either sides.

No virussess? Get an anti-virus like NOD32. I mean, come on! Mac doesn't support most games and cool programms..
